The staff were nice.
The management dont care about their standards. Our matress in room 6 was the worst weve ever known, with springs sticking in you and twanging with every movement. We did not sleep at all, if you cant sleep in a hotel..whats the point of it. When we brought this up with staff they said the management knew, so they just couldnt be bothered to fix it. It takes 30 minutes to go buy even just a matress topper, and at the cost of 1 nights let..... theres no excuse for this. The room should not have been let until a new matress had been provided, surely they can afford one!!
There are also health and safety issues with the internal porch door and bathroom door as they were swollen and very difficult to open and shut especially for an elderly or disabled person..this is another easy fix not sorted.
The bath side was at least 25" high making stepping in and out difficult and there wasnt a slip mat in the bath to aid with this.
We took this break simply to rest and we could not do this so it was a complete waste of money and feel a refund is in order.Even a budget hotel should be able to supply the basic bed for this. We are not rich people.
We have put a complaint in with Expedia for allowing bookings to this hotel on their site, spoiling their reputation, but of course, we havent had a reply.
In summary very disappointed and unhappy with this experience. We may not trust Expedia again!!
