Southampton surprised many by reaching their first final since 1979 beating Liverpool over two legs. In the final they met Manchester United, they came back from 2-0 down to dominate the play at 2-2, looking most likely to win in the second half. A very late Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal however sealed it for Man United at the end of normal time.
